There are a few occasions down South when you need to keep your nerve, and trust that the blaring horn behind you will pass you safely. Yes, it can get your adrenaline pumping.

Most of the time it pays to just hold your line and let the trucks do the maneuvering. (There are the few occasions, it must be said, where trucks start passing FOUR deep, and Mr Pumpy advises, in these cases, heading off the road and letting them through.)

However, on balance, the traffic down South is pretty OK, and for most of the ride you will experience only moderate or little traffic.

Note how Mr Pumpy is the only one who looks worried in this photograph. Why is that?
