Southeast and South Asia From October 04 for 18-24 months Hi, Well, the time is almost near and I figured it's time to look for cycling partners. I will be on the road between 18-24 months, starting in October 04. The itinerary is relatively sketchy as it is impossible to plan so far ahead. However, I'm planning the following for the first 8 months: Oct-04 Thailand Nov-04 Thailand Dec-04 Thailand Jan-05 viet/camb/laos Feb-05 viet/camb/laos Mar-05 myanmar Apr-05 nepal - mostly trekking (EBC and Annapurna) May-05 nepal - mostly trekking (EBC and Annapurna) Other countries: India(4-6 months), China (4-6 months), Japan (3 months) (possibly Pakistan and/or New Zealand - ??? months) Pace??? Don't think I'll be in too much of a rush, start early in the morning and bike about 50km-90km per day. Try to finish before lunch. Can maintain about 22-25 km/h, usual suspects permitting. Me: Male 28 from Canada, born in Poland. Toured in Canada and Costa Rica. Anyone interested??? Drop me a line. Cheers. Rob p.s. I'll repost in the future... Email Rob at: lloronapr@yahoo.ca Cambodia, maybe Vietnam and Laos Mid December 04 to mid february 05 (8 weeks) Flying to Bangkok and going by rail to Aranyaprathet and will start cycling Cambodia from there... I've done this once before but cycled from Bangkok to the border and would like to skip that part this time.
