How this Bike Partners thing works!

Southeast and South Asia
From October 04 for 18-24 months

Hi,
Well, the time is almost near and I figured it's time to look for cycling partners. I will be on the road between 18-24 months, starting in October 04. The itinerary is relatively sketchy as it is impossible to plan so far ahead. However, I'm planning the following for the first 8 months:
Oct-04 Thailand
Nov-04 Thailand
Dec-04 Thailand
Jan-05 viet/camb/laos
Feb-05 viet/camb/laos
Mar-05 myanmar
Apr-05 nepal - mostly trekking (EBC and Annapurna)
May-05 nepal - mostly trekking (EBC and Annapurna)
Other countries: India(4-6 months), China (4-6 months), Japan (3 months) (possibly Pakistan and/or New Zealand - ??? months)
Pace??? Don't think I'll be in too much of a rush, start early in the morning and bike about 50km-90km per day. Try to finish before lunch.
Can maintain about 22-25 km/h, usual suspects permitting.
Me: Male 28 from Canada, born in Poland. Toured in Canada and Costa Rica.
Anyone interested??? Drop me a line.
Cheers.
Rob
p.s. I'll repost in the future...

Malaysia, Thailand, possible Laos, Viet Nam.
Late 2004
Sawasdee. 39 year old male. Looking for start date in late November/04 Maximun 5 weeks. Will have plans firmed up by August. Will start from Khota Bahru heading north to Thailand. That could be flexible. My bike was left near KB on a farm last year for continuation this year. Daily cycling routine is nothing serious, maybe 70 to 100k a day. Am flexible for schedule and route. Main thrust of cycling is to eat food, marvel at the trees, totally enjoy drinking 6 litres of water riding in the hot sun and downhills. Best part of a trip is getting on the road before sunrise. Usually, I like to settle in the next town by 3 or 4pm. Don't need a companion(s) for entire trip, just a spell.

Java (Indonesia)
mid-June/July/August 04
Hello, I am a 41-year old male from Italy, planning my first bike ride in Asia. I have travelled around Southeast Asia a lot, speak Indonesian fluently and know Indonesian people and culture quite well (my wife is Javanese). I am looking for a male partner with enough time and patience for a thorough exploration of Java (and beyond, if time and visas allow). I am very flexible on when and where, 60-80 kms a day, enjoy an extra day in beautiful settings, hate trains and buses unless I have been stolen my bike. Please contact me if interested.
